UAE-based developer Arada has awarded Emrill a three-year facilities management contract. The contract scope includes the delivery of mechanical, engineering and plumbing (MEP), heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), lifeguard, housekeeping and specialist services for several locations within Arada’s master community development, Aljada, including the Aljada Discovery Centre.
The contract will see Emrill mobilise a team of 51, of which 29 will be operating in the first residential phase of Aljada (Block L) and 22 will be based in the Aljada Discovery Centre. The deployed team will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of MEP services, including maintenance of chillers. Housekeeping services will be delivered within residential and sales centre retail environments.
Stuart Harrison, Emrill’s CEO, said: “We are extremely happy to have won this contract, which will see us delivering services to one of Sharjah’s most prestigious property developers, Arada. Aljada is one of Arada’s flagship destinations, offering spaces for living, working, entertainment, recreation, shopping, and culture within the same community. We are grateful for the trust Arada has placed in us to ensure its residents and visitors receive a lasting great first impression.
“This contract marks our most significant win in Sharjah since our establishment of a new office in the emirate in 2019. This is another major milestone in Emrill’s expansion plans, which see us delivering total facilities management services across Dubai, the northern emirates and Abu Dhabi. We look forward to developing a long-lasting value partnership with Arada and are committed to utilising the latest technologies to deliver operational efficiencies, sustainable practices and world-class facilities management services.”
Commenting on the contract awarded to Emrill, Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, CEO of Arada, said: “Selecting best-in-class service providers is an important part of our mission to deliver a great lifestyle experience for residents and visitors at Aljada. That’s why Arada has chosen Emrill, and we look forward to working closely with the team as we move to complete a number of key buildings in the community in the coming months.”
Commencing the three-year contract, Emrill mobilised its team progressively in line with the site’s requirements. Karthikeyan Ragothaman, general manager at Emrill, said: “Following a successful mobilisation meeting with the team at Arada, we established and executed a plan that ensures we are delivering services exactly when and where they are required. The mobilisation process has been an overwhelming success and 70 per cent of the team servicing the first phase, comprising Rehan 1, 2 and 3, the Aljada Discovery Centre and master community, are now on-site and delivering a full range of hard and soft facilities management services. The remainder of Emrill’s team will be deployed to service the second phase comprising 11 buildings in the second quarter of 2021.
“We are delighted to be working with Arada and delivering the highest standard of services for the residents of its Aljada community. We are looking forward to further expanding our operations in Sharjah, which is a key growth target for us in 2021.”
Emrill provides total facilities management for some of Dubai’s most popular residential communities, including Dubai Marina and Downtown Dubai. The company also holds long-term contracts with Dubai Airports and logistics giant Aramex.
