To ensure we deliver the People Strategy, monthly 1-2-1’s are held by all managers to review progress against Personal Objectives aligned to the Emrill Business Plan to achieve superior results. A formal Personal Development Review takes place annually for all managers where achievements against the Personal Objectives are recorded to facilitate continuous improvement and personal development.
Monthly Team Talks were introduced to improve internal communications in Emrill whereby key information is cascaded throughout the company face-to-face. A feedback loop ensures that comments and observations get reported to senior management and any queries are responded to.
To measure the success of our People Strategy, we carry out annual employee satisfaction surveys utilising “The Great Debate” process developed by Carillion plc. We ask our people to tell us what they think of the company, how they feel about the decisions we make and how we make them. Essentially, they let senior management know what really matters to them. The results are compared and benchmarked globally and result in detailed local Action Plans being embedded in the Emrill Business Plan.
