We are living in The Greens in Al Jaz and are having a maintenance contract with Emrill for our yearly maintenance.

As yet another year draws to a close I on behalf of entire ECM team wanted to take this opportunity to thank you & your team for all of your efforts and co-operation you extended to keep the Dubai Marina Communities maintained at a high standard. This was a very challenging year for both of us and unfortunately also coincided with the world financial crisis.

Thank you for your swift and responsive help to my Villa this morning. To my surprise after showering, I learned my bathroom door’s lock mechanism failed. I could not leave the room. The door was not locked yet the latch remained firmly shut requiring assistance from the experts. My husband called Emrill with a request of assistance and they promptly responded. The door’s mechanism could not be approached form the hallway and required the gents to climb a ladder to the second floor and climb through the window. You can imagine my relief when “my knights in shining armour” arrived. Needless to say, the door’s latching mechanism needed repacement and realignment.

Thank you for the competency shown by A. Ambigapathi, S. Rangin.Basha, and S. Kamalakumar and the other gents.

I am writing this to bring to your attention the outstanding service which was provided by Mr. Sivaguru and his maintenance team here in the Greens Apartments.

We recently moved to the Al Ghaf complex and had the great pleasure to be assisted by Mr. Sivaguru for our maintenance needs. He and his staff acted in a very professional manner, were prompt to respond, and conducted themselves with extreme care and courtesy when talking to either myself or my wife about our maintenance issues.

Not to mention, the complex we are staying in is impeccibly well maintained and beautiful by any standards.

We are grateful to Mr. Sivaguru, his team of tradesmen, and to Emrill Services for making our stay in The Greens a tremendous and enjoyable experience.

I am only writing this note as a parent who is pleading for some of the people in the Arabian Ranches to slow down and love humanity.

My two-year-old daughter had an accident in the house and had her finger cut off when she stuck her hand on the door.

My 12-year-old daughter and my sister who looks after them, ran all the way to the main road of the ranches (from Gate 2 to Gate 3) trying to get someone to help them to get to the MedCare Clinic in the neighborhood.

Cars sped by and joggers ran past them and no one even bothered to stop or slow down and ask them if they needed assistance.

I drove like crazy from Internet City trying to reach them and meanwhile I called the security dept to assist and my family was assisted by the guard on duty on a bicycle. I am not upset with anyone, however I appeal to everyone of us driving around, at least slow down and ask, a life may dep! end on your two minutes of concern.

My daughter is fine and we managed to get surgery done and salvaged the finger. The guard on duty by the name of Peter from Emrill or Emaar has my family’s gratitude.

To my neighbours who passed my children and sister carrying a bleeding child, thank you for reminding me that our neighbourhood is a facade of gentleness that needs prayers.

My daughter frequently sees me giving rides to maids on Friday on our way to church and when she saw no one helping them, her question to me was “Mum, how come they did not stop for us and we always stop for others” I am still grappling with this question because I am not sure I can explain to her that people are not the same and we all don’t think helping others is our priority.

As for me, I will continue to slow down and yes I will ask if am not sure and yes that is what a good neighbor would do.

Please slow down! Arabian Ranches is a beautiful place; we need to reflect the same values as the environment.

Just a very brief acknowledgement that the service carried out today, as part of the maintenance contract of our landlord, was outstanding.

The team (Shakeel, Vekaz, Nonfa, Shahjah) was very polite and efficient in their approach and have done an excellent job.
