JASON RUEHLAND, Managing Director of Emrill is second on the regional top 40 FM Power List

Boasting 14 years of experience in the field of facilities management, engineering and maintenance, Jason Ruehland’s first foray into FM dates back to his tenure with Carillion. Joining the company in 2001, Ruehland worked his way through several divisions including Carillion Engineering and Carillion Services.

Ruehland then signed on as Emrill’s operating director back in 2011. After three years of successfully driving the business’ growth in the GCC, he was elevated to the post of managing director.

2015 has seen Emrill win contracts with Dubai Airports, Q Point, the Crew Briefing Centre of Etihad Airways, Masdar City Headquarters and Meydan Villas (Emirates Group).

Emrill also shone at the annual fmME Awards, winning Security Company of the Year and Unsung Hero of the Year.

“The challenge in FM remains the recruitment and retention of good staff in the region. We are beginning to see laws in a handful of countries introducing minimum salaries and visa controls for their nationals who work abroad and this will lead to some adjustments in the market,” says Ruehland.
