Dubai, January 26, 2014: Emrill, the leading Facilities Management provider in the UAE, supported the Rashid Paediatric Centre at an event celebrating ‘International Day of People with Disabilities’.

Held at the American University of Dubai on the 16th of January celebrations included an open fun day with performances and sale of products hand-crafted by disabled students from several schools. This was followed by an awards ceremony graced by H.H Shaikh Jumaa Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, H.H. Mohammed Bin Ahmed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan and Mr. Hashim Khoory in recognition of the patrons who played an important role in the field of humanitarian efforts.

Ben Churchill, Managing Director, Emrill said “We are constantly looking for ways to support the community at Emrill. We are happy to be a part of the event in honour of the ‘International Day of People with Disabilities’ by the Rashid Paediatric Centre which allowed us to assist in their efforts to raise funds and encourage the integration of disabled students into the community.”

Since its inauguration in 1994 the Rashid Paediatric Center has provided a special learning centre for hundreds of children with special needs. With the assistance of volunteers and the recruitment of a range of specialists, the centre has helped equip children with functional life skills that enable them to be active and be participating members of the society.
